Good ??
Pretty good bar food. Friendly staff. Patio
Sports Bar atmosphere with a pretty spacious deck and good service. Lohn and Terry are good at their jobs, and the tots are so freaking good. They have a Twins shrine, which I thought was pretty funny.
Honestly, my fiance and I could go on for hours about how great our recent experience at Darbys was. We are having a small destination wedding and wanted to host a reception at home with friends and family- we found Darbys by chance and I am so glad we did. First and foremost, working with Marcus was absolutely amazing. He was kind, accommodating and extremely flexible to fit our needs and vision. The day of we were out on the patio (which is HUGE and awesome!) and it could not have been a better day. Marley was out on the patio taking drink orders and was super helpful! The bartenders inside were great! Seriously if you are looking for a space to host any event- big or small- consider Darbys and working with Marcus- absolutely awesome! Thank you for making our day so special! We are so excited to spend game days here with family and friends for years to come. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!
Went for lunch. Decent for a quick bite but I wouldnt got too often.
Great food and people
Simple, easy and close to the Ballpark!!
Good drinks and decent food. Outdoor patio is a must in the summer time.
Been there multiple times with no issues. Today, Twins playoff game and they were horrible service. Well actually we had no service while sitting there for 30 minutes. Tried the bar, no service. Yes it was busy...but not insane busy. They were also under staffed.
Have always had a great experience at Darby’s even 10 Minutes before the first pitch but tonight was terrible! Went in to watch the Iowa State football game and the staff was completely in over their heads and very rude. There weren’t enough seats for everyone and they refused to let us move the chairs. We actually were in a spot and the waitress made us move for people who arrived after us. Honestly we were willing to drive to Park Tavern in SLP to avoid standing and rude service for the game...
It's all fun and games until somebody puts an eye out
I've never had a worse waitress than the one working at Darby's during the Iowa State game watch. We felt pressured to order quickly, and after our orders came, she didn't check back once. When we paid, she new she didn't bring back the right amount of change and was too lazy to go back and get the correct amount. My friend paid with a credit card and was more or less forced to approve a 20% tip with the waitress standing over his shoulder telling him that 20% was the default amount on the card reader. I will not go to Darby's ever again.
Service was very poor. Didn’t check back a single time once we got our food. We had to flag down to get our checks. Food was awful. Chicken philly was a dry chicken breast on a bun with 1 raw red pepper. No sauce or anything. Would not recommend bacon tot dish either. Overall very disappointing.
So much fun before twins games. Bring your appetite if you want to eat the whole philly cheese steak. Great beer selection.
Good pub food and nice regional craft beer selections with the usual mass-produced options (Miller High Life!). This is also an Iowa State game-watch location. Go State!
Great spot for a beer on the patio before a game at Target Field. Staff was friendly and helpful.
My FAVORITE place in the Twin Cities - best tater tot hotdish (everyone from out of state MUST experience this at least once), and the bacon-wrapped tots are my favorite thing in the world. Darby's is a hidden gem that I go to regularly, with a massive patio in a convenient location, great staff, and a wonderful owner, Marcus. The quintessential neighborhood bar that can't be beat.
Would like to suggest this Vietnamese restaurant. There are also Thai and Pan Asian Foods. There are various kinds of recipes such as Hanoi Sticky Rice, Spring Rolls, Water Fren Cakes, Chicken Thigh, Crispy Rice Salad, and Vietnamese Crepe.
Great patio and great drink specials before Twins games. It's kind of tricky to find. Bar staff is great, and fun and attentive. And their HH drink specials are always very good. The food is so-so. Depends on what you order. I go there often as I work nearby.
The owner Marcus is super friendly and so are the staff. This is a unique spot situated at the back of the building however the food was Amazing and I will definitely be back!
Waited 45 minutes for my Chicken Quesadilla. Came out cold. The guy that took my order was rude and kept waving me off even though I kept telling him it was cold. He gave me an attitude trying to correct it. I didnt care if he had to microwave it. Just make it right. His attitude was attitude was definitely not customer concerned. I will not be coming back. And I'm telling everyone to stay clear of this place. You can keep my $5. Yall need it more than I do.
Down to earth pub with good food and drink specials. Nice service.
Vegitarian food options, good rotating beer selection, nice outdoor space for summer
It's a great stop before the Twins game, however the service wasnt great on our trip this time. The patio is fantastic, and the drinks are plentiful however!
Excellent food at a reasonable price.
I will have to admit that I have not actually had a drink or food here, but we did try to attend an Iowa State meetup to watch the ISU football game and we were there almost a full hour prior to the game start and could not find a single open seat. So if you are showing up for that, show up early! The atmosphere looked very nice though and I want to eat here sometime. Parking is $5 in the multilevel garage next to the restaurant; you want to park on the lower level at the back of the garage and the entrance to Darby's is sort of hidden off the street.
The nicest people. Great food. Great atmosphere. Wonderful spacious patio. Great place pre and post Twins games.
I like their patio, and the happy hour ain't half bad
Great atmosphere and friendly staff!
Amazing drinks. Food was fast and delicious
Good place near Target Field to grab some good and a beer! Decent prices and solid service. They are currently surrounded by construction but I thought it added an interesting aspect to the experience, haha.
Food was overcooked and bland. Service was okay, would be exceptional for anyone who has been going there for years. Very much a locals bar. They do have a solid patio though.
Great food and great friendly staff!
Awesome location. Great place to go before a Twins game or to watch on their numerous televisions.
Had a great time at Darby’s! Our server was friendly and fun to chat with. The atmosphere was relaxing and the food was great. Fun spot.
It's a great gathering place. Food varies but is satisfactory
Darby's was a great place to get some delicious food and drinks before the twins game!! The service was great! Marcus took care of us! Definitely coming back here again!
love this spot, old guy behind the bar is the best, non PC & funny
Good food, great prices. Good local dive bar.
Dr. Pepper on tap? Great burgers? My kind of place.
A really fun space with good parking, good options for large or small groups. Food is reasonably priced with a good variety and comes out pretty quickly in good portions and flavor. Gets packed during a Twins game. It's not the only game in town, but it's a solid choice if you're in the area.
The "Cheers" of Minneapolis. Everyone knows your name. Standard bar fare with generous drinks.
We had fantastic service last night during trivia! It was our first time coming to Darby's. Our server was extremely helpful and welcoming, the food prices were very reasonable, and there's a good number of happy hour deals. We'll be back! FYI for those coming for the first time - the entrance is around back down the alley.
Good drink and food menu, great staff, excellent train watching.
This place was excellent. ...a Hard 5 out of 5. We walked in, and we're greeted by the manager and introduced to the bartender as we were seated. They were friendly welcoming and very personable. Our server was Lucian, he was perfect. We went to wash our hands and as we returned he was delivering out order...a custom food/ cocktail order with special requests, and he nailed it! It was perfect, the food was awesome bar food (fresh oil, served immediately, etc.). Go here, and be impressed!
It was empty but they make cheap whiskey gingers. Nice deck to enjoy.
Great food and service before the game
Entrance was a bit tricky to find, but overall pretty good experience over the few times I've had lunch here. Staff is generally friendly, attentive, and fast. Food is pretty good, make sure to try the tots they are amazing! Price is on point for North Loop restaurants.
Everything was a solid 3 stars until the bill came I noticed a charge for non-cash transaction. I had and would've happily used cash, had they informed me. For the $9 appetizers we ordered, there wasn't much food...not to mention their mediocrity. Super slow service on top of all of this. With so many better places around, we won't bother coming back.
Very nice waiter... but food was so sad
Thank u Callie for the great service!! 😁
